"These days the seven-member line-up still contains five veterans of the band's classic 1970s incarnation - guitarist Paul Barrere, bassist Kenny Gradney, drummer Richie Hayward, pianist Bill Payne and singer/percussionist Sam Clayton - now augmented by female singer Shaun Murphy and multi-instrumentalist Fred Tackett. Little Feat may lack the eccentric guiding light of founder Lowell George, but they haven't forgotten how to put on a show. They play impeccably, of course, as befits a group consisting largely of session musicians, and the newer material here is slick and polished. But naturally enough it's the old songs that really bring proceedings to life: notably the extended improvisatory work-outs of "Dixie Chicken" and "Fat Man in the Bathtub", and the crowd-pleasing laid-back country-rock of "Willin'"
