Debut album from Glasgow-based eclectic pop-folk-rockers, featuring musicians behind the best of Scotland’s contemporary music output but fronted by a pure English female voice. Lineup includes Jim McCulloch (Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan), Dave McGowan (Teenage Fanclub, Belle & Sebastian), Raymond McGinley (Teenage Fanclub), Stuart Kidd (Wellgreen, Stevie Jackson), and Anna Sheard, who doesn’t have any names in brackets after her name as Snowgoose is her first public musical outing. The sound of her voice was the inspiration behind the formation of the band.
The record features a stellar cast of additional musicians, including John McCusker (uber-folkmeister) on fiddle, Norman Blake (Teenage Fanclub) on vocals, Dave McCluskey (Bluebells, McCluskey Bros) on hammer dulcimer and Peter Dombernowsky (Giant Sand) on percussion.
