On 8th August 2011, these two remarkable tracks were being recorded at The Carvery Studios in Hackney, whilst just outside the door the streets of London were in the grip of shocking civil unrest.
Both recordings help to capture a new side to the unique and breathtaking talent of Quantic and Alice Russell, backed by the world-renowned Combo Bárbaro, whose members travelled from Peru, Colombia and beyond for the session.
This project is the realisation of a long held musical ambition for Will Holland (aka Quantic) who has always wanted to make a record in this way, recording direct to vinyl in one take.
