Fading Parade

Fading Parade is the 4th and latest disc from Papercuts. This follow-up to 2009's excellent You Can Have What You Want promises to be dream pop at its most sublime, with Jason Quever adding some beautiful, thoughtful, and downright evocative songwriting to his Papercuts catalog.

Fading Parade, which is due to hit the floor on February 28, 2011, was meticulously crafted over the course of several months at The Hangar in Sacramento. Of course, there’s the usual instrumentation, but Papercuts added in some strings, an autoharp, Mellotron, 12-string acoustics, and echoplexes for the real magic. Imagine Belle & Sebastian teaming up with Slowdive and recording with Phil Spector back when he was killing it in the studio rather than doing the real thing.
