The Throw

Jagwar Ma emerged last year with the two lightning rod tracks ‘Come Save Me’ and ‘What Love’.
Combining the earworm melodic sensibilities of 60s sunshine pop with a tightly euphoric modern electronic edge, the Sydney-based duo of Jono Ma and Gabriel Winterfield quickly sent ripples across the blogosphere, heralding the arrival of a freshfaced new brand of kaleidoscopic, danceable, modern psychedelia.
Now, armed with this new single ‘The Throw’ - and a much anticipated forthcoming debut album - on Marathon Artists, Jagwar Ma are set to enter 2013 in no uncertain terms.
‘The Throw’ is a giddily disorienting and astonishingly exciting seven minute whirlpool of psych groove projected through a hypnotic prism of pulsating acid house and 90s rave, culminating in a strobe-lit vocal mantra and pulsating trancelike groove.
