to commemorate and celebrate what would have been johnny cash's 80th birthday legacy releases 'from memphis to hollywood bootleg vol 2' this double album focuses on the dawning of johnny cash's recording career at sun records in memphis from late 1954 to late '57 on cd one into his first decade at columbia records in nashville from 1958 to 1969 on cd two the album begins with a 15minute live broadcast from kwem in memphis hosted by johnny cash in may 1955 the same month he recorded his first songs on sun the disc continues with 11 previously unreleased demos seven outtakes from sun recording sessions and two more unreleased demos the 25 tracks on the second disc span cash's first 11 years at columbia records including nonalbum singles outtakes and bsides 11 tracks of which have been previously unreleased
