Ambivalence Avenue is Bibio#s fourth album, released on the venerable Warp Records label. The album is a beautiful collection of psychedelic vocal tracks, electronic beats and jangly guitars - making it very hard to define! Bibio#s sampling is superb, punctuating each track with bizarre snippets from various sources, giving this album a really timeless feel. The beats are compact and energetic, the vocals fit in beautifully and the consistent use of guitar maintains the album as a cohesive whole. It is an impressive achievement that a producer could create such a varied album that sticks in the memory as much as this one does. Certainly worth a listen if you enjoy Gaslamp Killer, How To Dress Well, or contemporary electronic music.
