Plaitum

Jagwa EP

Colchester duo Plaitum are the newest signing to producer Paul Epworth's Wolf Tone label (home to Glass Animals and Rosie Lowe). Comprised of two 20 year old multi-instrumentalists, Plaitum's sound combines the glacial vocals of Abi Dersiley and dark atmospheric production of Matt Canham to forge a sound that bursts with a cacophony of bombastic synths, super-cool slick pop melodies and dynamic songwriting. 'Let Me Hold You' is the lead track from the band's self-titled debut EP and is a statement of intent: a shimmering soundscape envelopes Dersiley's 'choir-girl-gone-rebel' vocal. The band have already been championed by BBC Introducing and played by Huw Stephens on Radio 1. They are currently working on their debut album (due for release Summer 2016) at Epworth's famous Church Studios.
